You have to join tracks in iTunes when importing a CD. Highlight the two (or more) tracks, click on 'Advanced" then 'Join CD Tracks'.

If that option is grayed out, you need to highlight the upper left corner of the Name/Track/Artist/etc. bar.

Works great for NFA > GDTRFB > NFA, Lazy Lightning > Supplication, Crypt > TOO > Crypt and all the rest!

EBP -

Do you know if ITunes has any utility to join tracks other than when importing a CD? If not, I suppose I could burn the tunes to CD and then import from that CD and join tracks during the import?

That is exactly my question - I've never found the option

Rick - this is how you do it:

Command click to select the tracks you want to join
Select Get Info from the File menu
Select Options
Select Gapless Album and Yes from the dropdown menu.

Should be good to go!
